The PFAS is in the rain and atmosphere because we continue to use products with PFAS in there. This is similar to the chemicals that depleted the ozone layer. The more we use products with PFAS the PFAS we all will be exposed to for thousands of years. So it seems rational to have an essential use concept where PFAS only be used when absolutely essential and use safer alternatives
