The health advisory levels for EPA are in parts per quadrillion. So it’s clear zero is the safe level and anything else is what a town is comfortable with accepting.

27:54
Could we have a copy of the study that is being referenced ?

29:13
Did he say that the samples had measurable amount of PFOS, possibly from firefighting foam?

30:29
is it just me, or are the boards discussions garbled on zoom?

30:37
Discussion among board members is inaudible

30:40
I can’t hear anything.

30:46
Audio is difficult to hear, yes.

31:07
Yes Nantucket has started

31:54
We also had Mr. De LA Rosa present information to Nantucket about the artificial turf

32:17
Yes, Boards of Health needs to be involved. Our sole source aquifer must be protected.

32:22
It is hard to understand what Select Board members are saying. Emma is good ,not Gail or Brian

32:49
Sorry it’s very hard for many to hear

34:04
is it rain? or is it run off from residential waste and lifestyle that surrounds the school?

34:48
Alarming thing is forever chemicals don’t break down. We must do everything we can to prevent further accumulation and mitigate what’s happening as best we can.

35:16
Yes, like not putting in the artifical turf field

36:02
Your audio is not clear - are mic’s blocked with something

37:58
The PFAS is in the rain and atmosphere because we continue to use products with PFAS in there. This is similar to the chemicals that depleted the ozone layer. The more we use products with PFAS the PFAS we all will be exposed to for thousands of years. So it seems rational to have an essential use concept where PFAS only be used when absolutely essential and use safer alternatives

34% of residential waste is organic and compostable...

46:30
approximately..

52:06
Without proper waste management how can it be expanded for more waste producing entities??

53:53
The IGI program isn’t close to large enough for our island’s needs

54:16
and IGI needs a new composter!!!!!

57:52
Thank you Emma!!!

57:55
waste is a resource! properly composted organic material is a valuable commodity!

01:08:41
As an increasingly regulated waste stream, it is no different between compost or trash, re: a hauler deciding to walk away and us being left without the skills or equipment.

01:09:59
Be the front runner!!!!!! OB YOU CAN DO IT!!! it is the way of the future.....

01:11:51
Ryan is almost inaudible. Why is Emma’s mike so good? Please approve this grant application. It is the right thing to do. Doing nothing is a big mistake!!!!! Thanks you Emma

01:12:18
think about saving 34% in your export waste costs by processing it on island and giving back vital nutrients to your soil and farmers...

01:12:29
California is requiring businesses to divert 75% if their food waste, by 2025, it’s moving in this direction nationwide

01:16:18
Woody? Meredith?

01:18:18
This is a tremendous opportunity to leverage a grant to do what we must to reduce our waste from being a burden and make it a renewable resource for the island. Please support the hard work and approve the grant proposal.

01:24:24
Keep it quick, robot voice! But we can hear you

01:38:21
this is exactly what holds back vineyard progress??!!!

01:40:56
if tisbury is not in agreement then they are opposing forward movement the movement of the mvc and catf climate action plan for the island....

01:43:35
As chair of the Tisbury Planning Board I would be happy to help garner whatever support you feel you need from the Town of Tisbury

01:44:39
One option: subtract fees from future revenue before revenue distribution.
